K&N universal air filter
K&N universal air filters are high-performance filters that can be used universally in almost any motorcycle / engine.
Note: They measure a diameter of your intake manifold of 63 mm, which means that a filter with a 60 mm flange must be installed to ensure an airtight seal. The rubber flange of the universal air filters is expandable +/- 2 mm.
In general, it is important to use a filter that is as large as possible in terms of dimensions.
K&N universal air filters are robust and powerful filters, which are also used by motorcycle GP - and Cross winners.
All filters are manufactured with a particularly durable rubber flange. This absorbs vibrations and ensures you a tight connection and a perfect seal. The flange is expandable +/- 2 mm. The filter is fixed by means of enclosed clamp.
K&N universal air filters are available in round or oval shape, cylindrical or conical and with single or double flange. Available with flange diameters from 16 mm to 152 mm.
Over 1000 different sizes are available.
Cost-effective, universal and versatile due to freely selectable sizes.
Special designs are possible.
Use of universal air filters on your motorcycle:
Since the use of universal air filters results in a significantly higher air flow rate than a series filter box with the installed paper filter, it becomes necessary to retune the engine. Due to the more air sucked in, the engine runs too lean, resulting in power losses.
When driving in very dusty or muddy terrain, we recommend the use of a pre-cleaner. The Pre-Cleaner keeps the coarse dirt away from the filter and thus extends the washout intervals of the filter. In addition, it can be changed in seconds if, for example, you have to be quick at a race.
Not permitted in the area of the StVZO.
